Unbelievable. I'm still bumming around at home. And enjoying it. I could manage only one job application in a day or two. So far I have applied to less than 10 companies. None has replied.
Been wanting to blog about my grad trip. But can't find the right mood to do it. Anyway, what prompts me to blog today is this article on The Sunday Times (today's paper) about the dating service agency in Singapore. Asked what men look for in women in terms of appearance. Answered the men "slim, big eyes, long hair, long legs, big breast" and "actresses like Jolin Tsai, Felicia Chin and Fiona Xie are benchmarks"
I don't see any Brad Pitt look-alike in the agency.
Asked what characters men look for: gentle, demure, a bit submissive
Asked what academic qualification: cannot have degree higher than the man, cannot earn more than the men, but no bimbos.
If a non-bimbotic woman with looks and boobs like Fiona Xie doesn't earn more than the average Singaporean man, I'll say that woman is plain stupid.
Someone slim with big boobs and long legs must be taller than average. The average Singaporean male is not very tall. If the man can't take someone with higher degree than he is, I doubt he would stand next to a taller woman. And unless the man earns SGD 120K per annum, taller than average, with passable looks and acceptable personalities, he doesn't have the right to even dream, much less ask, for such luxuries . But then again, a man like that doesn't need to engage the services of a dating agency, right?
I say, wake up dudes. A few more years and you'll graduate from the dating agency and be on your grad trip to Vietnam.
