Okay, I'm flying off tonight. Flight's at 1920. My baggages are pretty much done. Except for my toothbrush, comb and some other stuffs that I will have to pack into my backpack later. Bought a pair of shoes yesterday at very cheap price. Yay! Will wear this pair back. This past week I have been wondering what to wear cause all my slippers are like spoilt or not meant for long walk. Was actually preparing to wear my "market" sandals and then buy slipper there.
I haven't signed a new phone contract so no autoroam for me. So you girls and guys don't send me smses ya. I won't be able to receive it there and then you'll waste your sms. And also I won't get a chance to be online so often as well. Guess this 16 days I won't be in touch. Ah, feels like I'm going to climb the Himalayas, haha.
I'll be back on the 5th of January. So till then, see you. And not forgetting..

Wednesday, December 14, 2005Yup, air tickets confirmed. Packing halfway done. Shopping halfway done. Oh, I need a luggage. Somehow all my mum's luggages are not here. There's two which were left in Medan, one lent to my aunt, and one lent to my grandpa. So that's it. I have with me now a cabin-size bag which of course will not be enough. I'm leaving for 16 days. Hmm, I really don't think there's a need to buy more bags. I don't mind using boxes to put my clothes. Haha. But I guess that's not very good.
We originally wanted to buy gifts back for our cousins. However, problem no.1: we only have 20 kg each, problem no.2: where's the money? So we've decided to skip the gifts and just treat them to eat when we're there. Yup yup, money not enough here. I want the pay for the part-time job already.. Actually, I need it. Sigh.
Okay, now that things are kinda settled I'm somehow not so excited about going back anymore. I keep feeling as if I don't have much time. Even though not many people ask me out, and I probably spend most days at home if I don't go back.
I want to buy a new phone. My previous contract has expired and I can sign on a new one, then I get to enjoy the free auto-roam for the first three months which I can use for when I'm in Indonesia. But somehow I don't feel exactly ready to get a new phone. What if I buy now and the price drops a few months later. Cause it's not like my current phone is spoilt or I need a new phone urgently. I can afford to wait a few more months or probably a year. And I like my phone all right, with its 1 MB storage and without MP3 playing ability or bluetooth. Though it'll be nice to have all the new functions. Thank goodness those haven't become necessities yet. Argh, confusing.

Tuesday, December 06, 2005Ah, it's the long-anticipated holidays. I have gone shopping only once. I'm pretty busy somehow. Was working for a few days last week too. Oh, my grandpa is here for a visit. He's supposed to return this Sunday but something came up and now he wants to return earlier. I've been trying to call Silk Air to fix the date change for hours today but I couldn't get through at all. Fine, so it's peak season at the moment but this is ridiculous. It's either engaged or nobody picked up. I don't believe they're that busy. And now we'll have to drop by their office tomorrow. Urgh.
Yep, found the cheapest air tickets home so far. Will discuss a bit more with my mum and sis before I book the tickets. It's been 2 years since I last went back. Even though I just saw my grandpa and grandma not too long ago (and now my grandpa is here too), I haven't seen my other cousins. I sure miss my cousins from Penang. And they're all so smart too. My Penang aunt's eldest son got 7 As last year during the Pri 6 exam and got featured in the newspaper. Now his younger sis who is the second child also got herself 7 As. Woo hoo!! Way to go darlings. By the way, there are 7 subjects in their Pri 6 exam. I am very proud of them. I can still remember how I was changing their diapers, feeding them milk from bottles and putting them to sleep when they were still babies more than 10 years ago. Ah.. time sure flies. We used to see each other more often before because they'll always go back every year. And I was living there back then. Now I'm here and go back so rarely and they don't come here cause it's more expensive for them. Well, it will have to do I guess.
