Sunday, October 23, 2005This afternoon I was on the bus on my way to my student's house. As I glanced through the window, staring aimlessly, daydreaming about nothing that I can remember, I looked up to the sky and noticed white cloud with a very cute shape. It made me happy suddenly. And I continued on my journey with a smile.
When I was going home, things did not happen smoothly though. I was hungry so I decided to stop by a bakery. Thus missed my bus at the interchange by a few seconds. I took another bus hoping that it'd catch up at another stop later. This time, I glanced out the window again, but looked down to the ground. And I saw mushrooms. I wonder how they could grow there and if they were edible. The sight made me happy again. I thought to myself "Ah, life is beautiful after all".
Then, unexpectedly, one passenger sat down heavily next to me with such a force it jolted me out of my seat. I cursed. And forgot all about the beautiful life. In the end, I missed my bus at the stop because of traffic light. Waited 20 minutes before the next bus came, and reached home feeling hungry again.

Saturday, October 15, 2005Thank you
I thought it was just a simple dinner when Siti asked me out. Turned out it was a class celebration. =) Well, I kinda suspected it will be a dinner celebration. Just didn't think the class will turn up. Even though Weijin accidentally spilled it out, heh. I think I can be pretty dense sometimes. And I didn't notice the whole group of the class standing at the mrt station. Haha.
Thank you everyone for treating me dinner. Thank you Qiu Jie and Siti for organising. Thank you Qiu Jie for baking the cheesecake for Ellince and me. Thank you Yanti as well. Thank you Ellince for celebrating together. And thank you everyone again, for your good wishes and just for being there celebrating together. I appreaciate it very much. *Hug* to everyone (Thank you Ilda too, I know you're studying hard darling)
I am one very happy birthday girl.

Friday, October 07, 2005Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God!!!! I've just read a manga on gays. Yes! Plus the confession and hugs and kisses. Argh!!!!!!!
Who would have thought? with the innocent title like that. I think I just heard my world came crashing down. Ba boom!
It's weird. It's very weird. It's very very weird. I couldn't decide whether to laugh out loud or to get disgusted. Oh, the shock.
Okay, before I make any offences unintentionally, even though I'm pretty sure that this blog of mine is private, but you know every info in the cyberspace is free, so just to play it safe. I really didn't mean anything bad. I mean, you may say homosexualism is not natural, but do you really know what's natural? Oh, let's not discussed that shall we. Where was I? Aha, the manga, yes. I honestly thought it was something romantic and cute. It was totally unexpected. But..., I've continued reading (half curious half wanting to prove myself wrong) till the end, and tadaa.. it was not so bad. Fortunately the graphic wasn't too detailed. Or I'll have to eat my second dinner for the day. Haha.
Oh, I do love Japanase comic. What's the difference between comic and manga anyway? Ah, I love it just the same, whatever you call it. Of course I don't just love all. It depends on the graphic and storyline. I used to read japanese comic (translated to bahasa Indonesia of course) almost everyday back then in Medan. And I would read my favourite ones again and again.
Now I can only find comic in Mandarin (!!! I can't read) and they are also too expensive. The ones that have been translated to English are even more expensive and they're not really my type.
Hmm, how should I say these? Maybe cause I'm not used ot it. But I find that Japanese anime that is translated to English sounds funny. Mandarin okay, bahasa Indonesia also okay. But the English ones... it just doesn't fit. Like some of the words are not easy to get translated into one or two-word phrase. Or perhap there's no proper English word that can express some feelings adequately. And then there's lack of feelings in the voice-over as well.
Ah, talking about Japanese comic makes me want to be in Medan right now. Currently I'm going crazy (100 %) over Japanese comic titled "Daa! Daa! Daa!". Oh, it's so cute. The english title for the anime is UFO baby. I would love to read the comic instead of watching the anime, but I can't read Mandarin. I've never seen the Indonesian version of it, that's for sure. This year end I'm definitely going back and I'll hunt the bookshop everyday. Hahaha.
Currently though, I think I'm going crazy with this craze and I'll probably just rent the Mandarin version. Then I'll go bug my sis who surprisingly can read and understand many Mandarin words that even she herself may not have seen before. Unless anyone out there willing to be my translator. Hehe, you get to have my company for free. Hoho..
