I pon school today and it is only the week 3 of semester 1!! Very very bad. Having a school that's so far away from home is really not a good idea. I genuinely wanted to go for Critical thinking and writing lecture on critique because one: my tutor said the lecture is very important, two: there's no lecture notes or lecture webcasts available, and three: it's the last Critical lecture for the whole semester. But the thought of having to spend three hours on journey for one hour of lecture, on top of having to shower and dress at least appropriately, and then have to walk out of my house under the hot sun.. Well, the lecture does not seem worthy of the sacrifices. So here I am partly slacking at home, and partly doing work :) Boy, it feels so good.

Saturday, August 21, 2004Ok, no time to blog. Had tuition on Mon, Tue, and Wed. Tiring cause the next day have to be in school by eight. I have 3 eight o'clock day per week : Tue, Wed and Thu. Sigh, I'm gonna be late on those days for the rest of the semester now. Why does school have to be so far away?
And Thursday is my worst day, 5 hours of lectures, 4 hours of tutorials, 3 hours break - a total of 12 hours that I have to be in school. Argh, Thursday has somehow been like that for me. That's why I have always disliked Thursday.
I think I'm mad. I'm either overly ambitious or plain ignorant. I just take on another tuition assignment. This student's house is very near mine so I thought maybe it's alright. I sure hope it'll be. And this semester I'm taking 6 modules. There goes my social life.

Pros and cons of being a professor.
Pro one: you get to be called Dr
Con one: nobody actually listen to you in lectures
Ok, there are some who listen, but nobody bothers to answer when the lecturer ask any questions, isn't that sad?
So many textbooks to buy, I wonder if they're really necessary. I mean, how many textbooks can you read in three months?
